FAQ's
What is CBD?
CBD stands for cannabidiol, a naturally occurring phytocannabinoid in the hemp plant. Unlike the well-known chemical compound, THC, there are no psychoactive effects when consuming CBD.
The majority of CBD is found in the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant, along with other cannabinoids. These cannabinoids and CBD work synergistically to support the body and mind towards wellbeing.*
How does CBD work in the body?
The body feels the effects of CBD oil and other CBD products because of the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The purpose of the ECS is to help the body achieve homeostasis, or balance. There are two primary cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2 located that are located throughout body that are part of the ECS. When you consume CBD oil, these receptors become activated which help maintain the body’s internal balance.
What are the benefits of CBD?
One of the first forms of evidence that discusses the properties of CBD, was US Patent: 6630507B1. It states: “Cannabinoids (CBD) have been found to have antioxidant properties. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of a wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants.”
There’s a lot of research on CBD and its therapeutic potential available on the web. We don’t have the authority to make any claims about CBD, so it’s best to perform your own research.
Are HempHealthOne CBD products made from marijuana or hemp?
Our products are made from industrial hemp grown in Colorado. Although hemp and marijuana are referred to as cousins, they have very different chemical profiles. For instance, hemp has a much higher concentration of CBD compared to THC. And in contrast, marijuana tends to have a high concentration of THC. By definition, industrial hemp is any part or derivative of the plant that contains less than 0.3% THC.
Will HempHealthOne CBD products pop up on a drug test?
Since our CBD products are full-spectrum, rather than an isolate, there are small traces of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), but less than 0.1%. Because every person has a unique biochemistry, it’s not possible to know for certain what the drug test will show. So, we recommend consulting your primary doctor or health care provider before consuming CBD.
How will I feel when taking HempHealthOnes CBD products?
The answer to this question depends on what’s going on inside your body. Since we are all different, the effects may vary. However, when taking CBD, the body’s endocannabinoid system can become activated, which promotes balance in the body.

Is CBD safe, are there side effects to consuming CBD?
Yes, CBD is considered safe and is generally well tolerated. Similar to other wellness products, there is a possibility of adverse reactions or interactions with certain medications. It’s best to consult your doctor, especially if you are taking prescription medications, are pregnant or nursing.
Which CBD product is best for me? How much should I take?
It really depends on your preference. Even though all of our products are organic, some people prefer taking an oil compared to a gummy. But if you care about delicious flavor, then gummies are your best bet. To begin, start with half or justone full serving dose per day. In the health and wellness world, the mantra is “low and slow.” Meaning, start with a small serving at first. In time, as your body adjusts, you can work your way to your ideal amount of oil or gummies.

Is it legal to buy CBD in my state?
With the passing of The Hemp Farming Act of 2018, hemp is no longer considered a controlled substance at the federal level. However, there are four states in the U.S. have specific laws in place around hemp derived CBD products. For more information read about each state’s laws, our blog on CBD legalities.

What extraction process is used?
We use ethanol extraction. It is one of the oldest and most common extraction methods. It uses high-proof grain alcohol to remove CBD from the hemp plant. Because the alcohol is high-proof, the cannabinoids remain intact and preserved. This extraction process also prevents oxidation and rancidity from occurring.
Do you perform testing on your products?
Yes, we do. Altitude Consulting, LLC performs third-party independent lab testing on all our products to ensure CBD purity and potency.
Why is Full Spectrum Hemp better than CBD Isolate?
Full spectrum hemp contains all compounds that naturally occur in the hemp plant. These compounds include terpenes, other cannabinoids, and flavonoids. The full spectrum of these beneficial compounds work synergistically to increase the effects of a CBD product. This is also known as the “entourage effect.”
In contrast, CBD isolate undergoes a process to remove everything in the plant, except CBD. Although the result is pure CBD, the final product lacks other important compounds. And without these compounds working together, the benefits can be significantly less than a full spectrum hemp product.
